Use the same name and birth date that TechTrack has on file whenever possible.
Show Technician Letter of Agreement
This Letter of Agreement shall be for services to be provided to North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA). It is mutually agreed by Show Technician and NTPA that:
1. POSITION: Show Technician, working under the supervision of the Senior Technical Director.
2. COMPENSATION: $150 for a one weekend show, OR $175 for a two weekend show.
SHOW TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Prior to Tech Week:
1. Join the Production's Google Classroom, and plan to be there every day of tech rehearsals.
2. Communicate with the director that you are on their show, and schedule a day and time to set lights.
During Tech Week:
3. Set lights with the director. (3 hours max.)
4. Show any additional tech volunteers how to properly mic, and run a mic check before every night of tech.
5. Set EQ and Compressor settings for each mic.
6. Communicate with the director about which position they want you to cover during the shows.
After Closing Show:
7. Lead tech volunteers and participate in cleaning the tech booth.
8. Return all equipment used for the production to its proper storing location.
9. Reset the Tech Booth sound console and lighting computer to default file.
10. Send an email to tech@ntpa.org stating you have completed your responsibilities.
3. CONTRACT RELATIONSHIP: Technician agrees and understands that he/she shall be responsible for his/her own insurance and taxes, and will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY: Subject to the terms and conditions of the NTPA Confidentiality Agreement.
5. CODE OF CONDUCT: Show Technician must deliver services in conformance to the NTPA Code of Conduct.
6. BACKGROUND CHECK: Show Technician agrees to submit to a background check.
7. LAST DAY ON CONTRACT: The end of each performance once all responsibilities are completed and verified.
8. TERMINATION CLAUSE: NTPA may terminate this Agreement without cause or notice. Show Technician may terminate with 30 days advance written notice.
9. NON-DISCLOSURE: Show Technician shall keep confidential and shall not disclose any trade secrets or proprietary knowledge of NTPA.
